Remembrance

Books

through

November

Through November,

each Parish will have a

Remembrance Book.

Write the names of

any deceased that you request parishioners to pray for.  We’ll pray for everyone written in these books at the intercessions at Masses throughout the month. Consider including these names in your personal prayer as well through November.

Remember in November

Remember In November

November is the month dedicated to

the remembrance of

and prayer for

the faithful departed.

The Christmas Reunion Choir is practicing on Mondays, starting November 18 at SWP. It will sing a program of songs on Sunday, December 22 along with leading a Christmas Carol Sing-A-Long. Questions? Bob Stephenson at 724-283-9199 or Karen Love at 724-282-2982. It’s a reunion choir, but other voices are welcome to join.

Adoration starts

with Advent

Starting with the new church year - Advent on December 1 -

our Grouping will have Adoration

each week before the Wednesday evening Mass at MD.

On December 4 at 6:00pm, Exposition will begin, ending with Benediction after Confessions

at about 6:45pm, followed by

Mass at 7:00pm.

Adoration is something anyone can do anytime the church is unlocked, before the Blessed Sacrament in the Tabernacle. Just spend time listening to God, being present, open-minded and open-hearted. Exposition displays the Eucharistic Presence in a monstrance for a period of time. The monstance is meant to help focus our attention on God. Benediction is a blessing with the monstrance by making the Sign of the Cross over us. We reserve the Eucharist in the tabernacle to bring to our sick relatives and friends who cannot come to Mass, but also for this devotional prayer of adoration.

We will NOT have Exposition, Benediction, or Mass on these four Wednesdays

. December 11 (The Light is

    Still On For You Confession

    Opportunity at SWP)
. December 25 (Christmas)

. January 1 (Mary, Mother of God) . February 26 (Ash Wednesday)
